Taction is a slip cast ceramic vessel designed to be held using only the hands natural tension. It was inspired by Martino Gamper, during his lecture at the Art Institute of Chicago, of the chair being one of the few objects in our lives that is a negative of ourselves. Taction aims for the same effect. It is an exploration into forms which may also hold such physical and emotional connections to ourselves, as the comfort of a favorite chair.
